Job Description
Broward House, Inc. is a community-based organization with multiple locations throughout Broward County, Florida. Incorporated in 1988, we provide a full array of quality services to those living with and at risk for HIV and other health issues. Programs include community-wide case management, substance abuse treatment, supportive and independent housing, intervention, mental health services, outreach/education, transportation, complementary therapies and medical services.
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for maintaining a welcoming environment at the front desk of the assigned facility and providing , including administrative support to the program directors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet clients and visitor in a professional, supportive manner providing program and community information
- Manage telephone system main line for the facility including answering and directing calls and messages
- Triages individuals for the appropriate program and staff connection
- Engages, manages, and effectively works with person in crisis and high-risk, vulnerable client population
- Maintains neat and welcoming entrance to the facility directing guest and visitors during office hours.
- Distributes direct clients service items with appropriate documentation and tracking
- Provide administrative assistance to the management in the assigned facility.
- Provides scheduling and documentation support for facility programs
- Order and maintain supplies, equipment and custom printing. Maintains forms for facility, based on program and departments housed at facility, as assigned
- Maintain required regulation documents on bulletin boards and binders in the front office.
- Maintains databases, data tracking systems and reports, as assigned
- Prepares documents for assigned facility/department meetings
- Participate in maintaining structure and order in the facility by reporting and document incidents, concerns and observations consistently
- Attend and participate in staff meetings, program meetings, and staff training as determined by Director.
- Other duties as assigned

- Moderate to advanced computer skills required: Microsoft Office, Multiple Databases, Scheduling Programs
- Basic math skills required: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction
- Basic office equipment operation skills
- High School diploma or GED Equivalent and one year related experience and/or training. Related technical school training preferred.
- Minimum two years customer service experience
- Knowledge of HIV/AIDS preferred.

Must pass all drug and background screening requirements, including a level 2 federal background and motor vehicle screening
