Executive Administrative Assistant
Job Description
Broward House, Inc. is a not-for-profit social service agency serving Broward County with multiple programs for individuals infected and affected by HIV, homelessness, substance abuse, and mental health issues.
We are looking for an Executive Assistant to work directly with our CEO and leadership team.
The ideal candidate for the role is:
Is self-motivated with an ability to shift priorities based on the need of the agency.
Is organized and able to develop shared tracking systems to manage agency licensing and funding compliance
- Has advanced computer skills including excel, adobe, and the ability to use basic design software
Is able to have professional conversations and basic negotiation skills with vendors, stakeholders, and agency clients
Enjoy the challenge of learning new things and is intuitive in working on databases
Has integrity in maintaining confidential information
- Is committed to completing tasks with attention to detail in a timely manner
Is inquisitive and seeks ways to support the administrative function of the agency
Has a sense of humor and ease.
Believes in the mission of Broward House and wants to contribute to the administrative support to create strong programs
Skills / Requirements
- Advanced computer skills required: Microsoft Office, Multiple Databases, Scheduling Programs; Publisher
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with diverse populations
- Ability to read and interpret documents
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies and the public
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor while working with diverse populations
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and meet established deadlines
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction
Important Notes
Applicant must be able to pass Level II background screening and pre-employment drug screening.
Some physical effort may be required to push, move and lift objects less than 20 pounds. Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard, sitting for prolonged periods of time.
