Director of Behavioral Health
Broward House, Inc. is a community-based organization with multiple locations throughout Broward County, Florida. Incorporated in 1988, we provide a full array of quality services to those living with and at risk for HIV and other health issues. Programs include community-wide case management, substance abuse treatment, supportive and independent housing, intervention, mental health services, outreach/education, transportation, complementary therapies and medical services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervision of department staff including Clinical Supervision of therapists
- Participating in, developing and implementing program services in order to meet stakeholder needs
- Formulating, reviewing and revising policies and procedures to ensure best practice
- Evaluating and addressing client/resident concerns and needs
- Coordinates and maintains compliance to accreditation standards, documentation and records as required by regulatory agencies.

- Maintaining appropriate staffing patterns with qualified personnel through hiring, supervision and training.
- Fiscal monitoring and analysis of programmatic and department budgets
- Tracking, reporting and analyzing statistical data regarding program performance.
- Developing and maintaining linkages with collaborating community agencies and businesses
- Address client grievances and agency incident with written responses including licensing and funding documentation, as appropriate.
- Working Collaboratively with the Director of Residential Services
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of DCF Licensing and accreditation standards
- Five years’ experience in Human Service services, Co-Occurring Treatment and Residential experience preferred
- Three years of supervisory and program management experience
- Two Years Post Licensure with Qualified Supervisor Certificate
- Advanced knowledge of Substance Abuse assessment and intervention
- Moderate to advanced computer skills required: Microsoft Office, Multiple Databases, Scheduling Programs
- Basic math skills required: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction
- Basic office equipment operation skills
- Must be physically and mentally fit to respond to emergency situations.
- Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Licensed by The Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy or Mental Health Counseling
- Qualified Supervisor
- Master’s degree Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or Marriage and Family Counseling with a Florida State License as LCSW, LMHC or LMFT
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:
- Florida State License as LCSW, LMHC or LMFT or RN
- Valid Florida Driver’s License and ongoing proof of insurance
- AHCA Level II background screening
- HIV 500
