Job Description

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for assisting the Director in managing daily behavioral health program and facility operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor, evaluate and implement facility and program quality assurance, improvement and clinical integrity through chart reviews, surveys, policy and procedure revision and other applicable means to enhance efficiency and quality of care.
  • Monitor program productivity, outcomes, and service delivery goals.
  • Assist in conducting regular inspections and audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Provide input, oversight, and monitoring of program activities, including development of collaborating agencies and relationships with Department of Corrections and other treatment providers.
  • Supervise daily activities of assigned staff and staff training, promoting teamwork and a positive work culture.
  • Monitor and support clinical competencies of behavioral health therapists through accepted discipline supervision standards.
  • Attend and Facilitate community, program, and staff meetings as well as trainings, as determined by Director.
  • Assist with staff shift scheduling to ensure appropriate facility and program coverage and complete performance evaluations of assigned staff.
  • Ensure residents receive personalized care and support, addressing individual needs and preferences, and provide clinical intervention as needed.
  • Address and document client and provider concerns prior to the grievance procedure and Director’s involvement.
  • Assist with intake assessments for prospective residents for admission determination.
  • Help maintain accurate records and documentation related to resident care and facility operations.
  • Support initiatives that foster relationships with residents’ families and the local community.
  • Help organize events and activities that promote resident engagement and well-being.
  • Represent the agency at community forums and provider consortia.
  • Other duties as assigned.

·        Advanced knowledge of HIV disease, intervention and prevention.

·        Advanced knowledge of Substance Abuse and Mental Health intervention and prevention.

·        Knowledge of AHCA and accreditation standards preferred

·        Knowledge of DCF standards preferred

·        Knowledge of Basic Case Management Skills

·        Critical review of policies and procedures

·        Ability to respond to critical/crisis situations effectively

·        Knowledge of management principles and practices

·        Creative and solution focused

·        Effective verbal and written communication skills

·        Ability to handle confidential information appropriately

·        Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, collaborating agencies and the public

·        Moderate to advanced computer skills required: Microsoft Office, Multiple Databases, Scheduling Programs

·        Basic math skills required: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

·        Ability to work independently with minimal direction

·        Basic office equipment operation skills

·        Ability to work under pressure and to assess changing priorities and competing deadlines is essential

·        Flexibility and ability to cope with several tasks simultaneously

·        Must be physically and mentally fit to respond to emergency situations.

·        Other Duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

·        Master’s degree Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or Marriage and Family Counseling with a Florida State License as LCSW, LMHC or LMFT

·        Five years’ experience in Human Service services, Residential and/or Substance Abuse Treatment experience preferred  

·        Two years of supervisory and program management experience

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION

·        Florida State License as LCSW, LMHC or LMFT

·        Valid Florida Driver’s License and ongoing proof of insurance

·        Must be able to pass an AHCA Level II background screening

·        Florida ALF Core Training and Administrator preferred

·        HIV 500 preferred
