Job Description

Broward House is a not-for-profit social service agency serving Broward County. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals impacted with chronic health challenges, including HIV, by providing them pathways to wellness. We offer multiple programs for individuals impacted by HIV, homelessness, substance abuse, and mental health issues. Our goals are simple: to support the health and stability of each individual who walks through our door with a plan unique to their goals.

This position is primarily responsible for:

  • Designs and maintains all agency marketing and communication materials, including, but not limited to, graphics for print, social, website, and other media, video shooting and editing, e-mail marketing, and writing and editing copy.
  • Partner with other members of the Development team in the overall creation and execution of the marketing strategy for the agency.
  • Assist in maintaining brand consistency and improvement
  • Manage agency website and design and all associated content updates and changes.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of marketing campaigns to help reach agency funding goals.
  • Scans social media, print media, and other news outlets for pertinent agency information and directs information to Executive Staff or Director of Development (DOD) as appropriate.
  • Develop tools for target audience input regarding motivation for engagement, donations, and retention in programs.
  • Manage agency and third-party structured events as assigned.
  • Provide logistical support for Development activities, including, but not limited to, set up, participation, and volunteer organization.

Skills / Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Creative Cloud Adobe Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign and Adobe Illustrator
  • Experience in professional social media activities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Solution focused approach to conflict and challenges
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, collaborating agencies and the public.
  • Ability to demonstrate and model culturally competent behavior.
  • Advanced Computer Skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.

Important Notes

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in, Marketing, Graphic Design or related field

Must pass all drug and background screening requirements, including a level 2 federal background and motor vehicle screening
