Broward House, the largest non-profit HIV and Health Related Service agencies in South Florida is searching for a Major Gifts Manager. The person selected will be tasked with creating a strategy for developing a major gifts program through identifying, cultivating, and soliciting individual donors with a capacity to give at the $5,000 level and above.

 

The ideal candidate will manage a portfolio of high net-worth individuals from identification to cultivation, solicitation and stewardship, establish and maintain strong personal relationships with high net-worth individuals, and develop systems to ensure acknowledgement of gifts while working collaboratively with President/CEO, COO, and board members who may be managing additional proposals.

Skills / Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing
• Three or more years’ experience in major or planned gift fundraising, ideally in a nonprofit setting
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, writing, analytical, and research skills
• Advanced computer literacy, including familiarity with fundraising databases and online sources to locate biographical, financial, and philanthropic information
• Established relationships with potential donors and ability to form additional relationships
• Ability to work autonomously while taking direction from senior leadership as  needed
• Must have a valid drivers license with on-going proof of insurance
